Chasing Rainbows
In moving from the United States to New Zealand, I've found myself searching for identity within a new context while simultaneously struggling to maintain ties with the life I've left behind. For the past year, I've turned to making pictures to reckon with the complex mental and emotional fluxes that accompany the immense change in moving to a new country. The resulting photographs are lifescapes -- artifacts of a time when everything for me has been uncertain except the familiar feeling of a camera in my hands. These images are part of an ongoing narrative which is intensely personal and at times maybe a little bit strange.
